DSE Assessor Training
Our DSE assessor training enables your staff to carry out health and safety workstation assessments for your company. We offer 3 levels including
-
3 hour training around the correct set up of chairs, desks, monitors and desktop items, ideal for facilities or IT teams dealing with simple requests.
-
Full day training for staff who are keen to know more about health and safety legislation, the anatomy of the body and how this is impacted by desk-based work, adding extra insight
-
2 day, Expert DSE assessor training programme covering everything in our one day course, plus further detail on dealing with lighting and temperature issues; a deeper understanding of ergonomic chairs, mice, keyboards and other equipment; managing expectations of people with pain; and other useful knowledge.
Manual Handling Training
Our manual handling training is highly regarded and extends way beyond the 'pick up a box' training that is common. We currently deliver comprehensive, bespoke training sessions for the Royal Horticultural Society, the Royal Ballet and Opera, Kings College Libraries London and Belron International, among others, providing staff with the knowledge and tools required to reduce manual handling injuries, the number one cause of musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace.
We also offer train-the-trainer training. This 2 day course covers all of the information in our manual handling training programmes, but also how to plan, design and deliver manual handling training to your staff, therefore bringing your manual handling training in house. Our courses are assessed via written tests and practical delivery of training content to ensure delegates are confident in delivering training to their colleagues.
Events
Many of our clients run events and ask us to come along and support these with seminars and lunch and learn sessions. We discuss everything from sleep, nutrition, exercise and the building of good health habits, to the principles of good workstation ergonomics and productivity. Our talks are always evidence-based and are well recieved.
